Senior Friendly Moving Company
I moved my 92 year old mother from our home in northeastern OH to Colorado Springs.  After interviewing 3 moving cos., we decided to go with Allied - Rose Moving was the company which actually moved her belongings, not the local Allied franchise.  This was a littler disconcerting for me at first, since I had expected that the local company I had chosen would be the actual movers - there are always so many ways that a partial load move can get screwed up.  However, my fears were groundless.  My only point of contact with Rose was Jeff Hayes, the driver, and he was friendly, professional and very efficient.  My mother moved into a senior retirement home and Jeff was very respectful of the needs of the other residents (regarding noise and blocking entrances), which was a relief - didn't want to make a bad first impression for my mom with her new neighbors!  What's more, unlike the representatives from the other movers, Jeff interacted with my mom (who was the one who was actually paying for the move) - the others seemed to ignore my mom and only address their remarks to me.  I have noticed this type of disrespectful behavior when seniors are concerned and dislike it.

Although there was a small glitch along the way, Jeff's only concern was to do whatever it took to make it right - there was no knee-jerk reaction of "It's not my fault" which seems to be very common nowadays.  This glitch was resolved satisfactorily.

All in all, this was an unexpectedly pleasant and worry-free ( or as close as any move can come to being worry-free) move.  If Rose's other drivers are similar in caliber to Jeff, I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Rose to anyone who is planning a move.

Rose is the best moving company.
I hired Rose Moving & Storage (Allied Van Lines) for the second time for an out-of-state move. To keep costs down, I packed my own boxes, which they moved with great care. I also have antique furniture, some pieces of which require special handling. The movers listened to my concerns and went over the details of how they would package the antiques before proceeding. The team was courteous, friendly and unobtrusive. As a single woman, I felt very comfortable with them in my house for extended periods of time. Everything with the move was on-time and on-schedule, and the entire team, from the sales person to all of the people in the office, to the crew themselves, were highly professional. Also, there was absolutely no damage to my furniture or possessions.

You will NOT be disappointed!
I recently worked with Rose Moving and Storage via the Allied Van Lines network.  Jim Stafford was my estimator for a move from MI to TX and he was thorough courteous and professional.  Even though I chose the price guarantee, his estimate was very close to actual and I had no hidden fees or charges throughout the move. Judy, my move coordinator was also very helpful and kept the lines of communication constantly open for any questions I had.

The real gem in the whole transaction, however, was the driver.  Tom moved my entire house from MI to TX and he was INCREDIBLE!  He was very friendly, efficient and punctual, showing up EARLY for both the loading and unloading.  I had over 100 boxes and a lot of very large/heavy furniture that had to make the move to an apartment AND storage unit in TX.  Not only was he able to get to TX and deliver things earlier than originally estimated (YAY!) but EVERYTHING survived the move with ZERO damage.  If you've ever moved across the country, you should know how rare this is.  Tom called me multiple times to provide updates on his progress and made sure I was comfortable with the move every step of the way.  I would highly recommend Rose to anyone who is looking to move a long distance.  Request Tom as your driver if he is available -- you will not be disappointed!

History

The first European-American settler, Tenney Peabody, arrived in 1833 along with his brother-in-law Charles Blanchard (Blanchard, Michigan Relocation Companies), and a young man named Clark Dowling. Peabody's family followed soon after. In 1835, the Albion Company, a land development company formed by Jesse Crowell, platted a village and Peabody's wife was asked to name the settlement. She considered the name "Peabodyville", but "Albion" was selected instead, after the former residence of Jesse Crowell. Crowell became the first postmaster in 1838. Albion incorporated as a village in 1855 and as a city in 1885.

In 1835, Methodist Episcopal settlers established Albion (Get Move Estimate for Albion, MI) College, which was known by a few other names before 1861 when the college was fully authorized to confer four-year degrees on both men and women. The first classes were held in Albion (Get Move Cost for Albion, MI) in 1843.

The forks of the Kalamazoo (Kalamazoo, MI Relocation Companies) River provided power for mills, and Albion quickly became a mill town as well as an agricultural market. A railroad line arrived in 1852, fostering the development of other industries.

It celebrated winning the award on May 15, 1974 when the Governor of Michigan, William Milliken, and many dignitaries came to town. However, in 1975 the closure of a major factory cut the celebration short and new challenges were created overnight.

Since that time citizens have mobilized, with support from the Albion (Get Moves Quote for Albion, MI) Community Foundation founded in 1968, and the Albion (Get Relocation Quote for Albion, MI) Volunteer Service Organization, founded in the 1980s with support from Albion (Get Move Estimate for Albion, MI) College, to address the challenge of diminishing economic opportunity.
