My move couldn't have gone smoother.
You want your stuff moved quickly, efficiently and safely?  Better contact Allied.  They gave me all the boxes, paper and wardrobes I needed to move 1400 miles from Michigan to Florida. Movers (Brian and Glenn) showed up on time and did all the work.  They gave me a date for delivery and I drove to my new location.  Everything arrived on the day promised and they loaded it all into a storage unit so I just pick up a few boxes a day. They also set up the king size bed and moved all the furniture to the exact location I wanted. Erica and Beverly always kept me informed as to my move status. Movers were a crew of two.  Never saw anybody work that hard on both ends of the move. Thought about using those giant pods until I found out the cost AND that I would have to load and unload it. Couldn't be happier with the move and I won't miss the snow.

Two teams, two shipments, 2,000 miles and a great experience. Your first choice in moving!
Moving can be a real pain, and and when my moving company told me they could not do the move, I was in a panic. My house closing was coming up very quickly and I needed to be out of my house.  Add on top of that I was retiring at the same time and moving to Texas, well the stress level was high.  In the matter of three days, seven companies told me they could not do the move.  Until I talked to Erica at Rose moving.  She listened to my story, called her boss, and told me she could meet the next day to get everything set for the move the day I needed it.  In the span of three hours, all the paperwork was complete, inventoried the entire house, locked in the movers and was able to work within my schedule. Beverly Thomason in the office sent me all the paperwork I needed the next day, was signed and returned.  On the day of the move, the team came in and were very pleasant and professional.  Every specialty item, heirloom, breakable glassware and framed paintings and memorabilia was cared for as if it was their own. Within three hours,, everything was loaded on the truck and sent to the warehouse for storage and crating.  Through the two weeks it sat in storage, Beverly kept me up to date with shipment to my new address.  On the day the shipment came, the delivery team took extra special care in preparing the house to move items inside.  This team was great! The entire process from when they arrived until they departed was about two hours.  They were very professional and worked through a couple of changes in where items were to go.  Everything arrived it perfect condition. They were kind and courteous and went out of their way to make sure that everything I needed done was done.  Although a long review, Rose Moving went out of their way at the last minute to take care of my move.  Two teams, two trucks, two really great move specialists, two thousand miles of travel and the best, most professional move I've ever had. Instead of shopping around, make Rose your first choice in preparing your move.

I would like to take some time to thank you for my move from Temperance Michigan to Bonita Springs Florida. Starting with Mike Engelhardt who sold the job, to Beverly Thomason, who kind of guided us through everything. Then tree was the 2 crews who loaded and unloaded the truck. And last but not least was Robert Meacham who watched over everything and made it happen. I would like to thank each and every one of them, for their professional approach and their pleasent and polite manner in which they went about the businsess of moving my wife and I . Further more I hope that who ever is in charge would pass a BIG thank you to all of those mentioned above. Thank you, Manuel & Brenda Chambers

Rockford (Get Move Estimate for Rockford, MI) is a city in Kent County in the U.S. state of Michigan. As of the 2010 census, the city population was 5,719. It is on the Rogue River and is only a few miles north of Grand Rapids (Grand Rapids, MI Moving Company).

History

The Rockford (Get Moves Estimate for Rockford, MI) area was first visited and inhabited by Native American cultures, such as the Hopewell, Mascouten, and Ottawa tribes. There have not been archeological finds of Native American settlements in the Rogue River valley, but their trails branched through the area and were noted by early surveyors.

The first important settler of what would become the city of Rockford was Smith Lapham, who had come to Kent County in 1843 after living in Washtenaw (Washtenaw, MI Moving Companies) for 18 years. Smith Lapham came to the banks of the Rogue to assist in the completion of a dam and sawmill begun by a William Hunter. Hunter gave Lapham 40 acres (160,000 m2) of land on the east side of the Rogue for his trouble, and Lapham stayed there for the rest of his life. Hunter shortly left the area.

Lapham built his own sawmill on his side of the river, which was completed by 1844. Other settlers soon followed, including John Long, Freeman Burch, and William Thornton. By the fall of 1845, the settlement had about 5 houses. Since the settlement existed largely on land owned or sold by Smith Lapham, it became known as Laphamville. In 1856 it was first platted as Laphamville by William Thornton.

By 1865 the Grand Rapids (Grand Rapids, Michigan Moving Reviews) and Indiana Railroad Company had begun a railroad extending northward through the village. The railroad had been advising the residents to adopt a shorter name, and when a newly arrived resident from Rockford, Illinois proposed the name of his former town, the new name was narrowly approved. It was replatted under the name Rockford in 1865 and incorporated as the Village of Rockford in June 1866 with 315 inhabitants.
