Highly Recommend
We have travelled to many continents before retirement and this crew is the best. They are presently loading the first  container to Europe. Very professional, prompt and considerate. Compelled to recommend even while in process

Rose is the best moving company.
I hired Rose Moving & Storage (Allied Van Lines) for the second time for an out-of-state move. To keep costs down, I packed my own boxes, which they moved with great care. I also have antique furniture, some pieces of which require special handling. The movers listened to my concerns and went over the details of how they would package the antiques before proceeding. The team was courteous, friendly and unobtrusive. As a single woman, I felt very comfortable with them in my house for extended periods of time. Everything with the move was on-time and on-schedule, and the entire team, from the sales person to all of the people in the office, to the crew themselves, were highly professional. Also, there was absolutely no damage to my furniture or possessions.

History

The township was initially created as Bucklin Township in 1827. Due to postal regulations prohibiting two post offices having the same name, when the township was further subdivided unique names had to be found. Thus Bucklin was divided into Pekin and Nankin, a result of a wave of interest in China. Pekin was further divided in 1833 into Redford and Dearborn Townships. The name Redford was chosen supposedly because Indians forded the River Rouge (River Rouge, Michigan Mover Reviews) where the river runs through Redford. Thus "Redford," since "rouge" is red in French.

The township used to go all the way to Greenfield Road, but in the 1920s and early 1930s the eastern portions of the township were annexed by Detroit (Detroit, Michigan Moving Company). In 1918 there was a post office named "Five Points" operating between 6 Mile Road and 7 Mile Road along the road of that name.

Geography
