We can’t change the world alone, but we know we can have an impact on the small part of the world we work in.
At Rose Moving & Storage, we are more than just a moving company. We see our team as active members of our communities.
Rose Moving & Storage takes pride in not only doing right by our customers but also doing right by the world we live in. We believe in standing up for what’s right and keeping our environment clean. Here some of the ways our moving company is having a positive impact all year round.
We are mindful of the impact our moving company has on the environment and we have, whenever possible, taken the more sustainable route. Two years ago we decided to begin the process of going paperless in the field. We believed then, as we still do now, that this opportunity would allow us to be more efficient, provide a better experience for our customers.
To date, all our installation supervisors complete their “paperwork” on iPads. We are in the process of rolling this system out to our movers and drivers as well. So far, we have cut down our paper usage by 50%.
While we are proud of the progress we have made in going green, we wouldn’t be doing right by our customers if our moving company didn’t give them the chance to also make the world a little greener. That’s why we offer:
These are the types of items we are more than happy to recycle on behalf of our customers:
Throughout the year we give back to the communities we serve in several different ways.
Our charitable take on casual Fridays. On some casual Fridays, our employees donate to a charity that they have collectively selected. All of the nominated charities are personally important to our team. Over the years we have donated to a wide variety of organizations like Autism Society of America, Vietnam Veterans of America, and the Boys & Girls Club.
No matter how big or small the fundraiser, we try to support our local communities whenever we can.
Together with Allied Van Lines, we partner with The Salvation Army to help improve the lives of people living in the communities we serve. You can stress less about your move and give more by donating clothing, electronics, furniture, and even household goods. Your items will then be sold in Salvation Army Family stores.Get Involved
During the holiday season, a group of local volunteers puts on a benefit for the Children’s Hospital of Michigan Foundation called the Festival of Trees. During this event, professionally designed holiday trees, wreaths, and other gift items are sold to raise funds for pediatric medical research. Each year, Rose donates crew members to help move and deliver the trees.Learn More
Since 1997, we have participated in Toys for Tots, a nationally recognized organization that delivers presents to children in need. Every Christmas employees, as well as some of our clients, donate brand new toys that get distributed to children of all ages.Learn More
Since 2013, we have been a proud partner of Move for Hunger, an organization working to reduce food waste and fight hunger at the same time. When our customers move, Rose collects un-opened, non-perishable food items that would otherwise have been thrown away and donates it to Moving Hunger. They then make sure the food gets delivered to local food banks.
Since joining, we have collected more than 4,567 lbs. of food, the equivalent of 3,805 meals.
Are you about to move and interested in helping? It’s simple.
